The Fire of a New Spring

Spring brings a flourish of yellow in Scotland with daffodils, dandelions and gorse bushes all coming into flower.  It’s a great palette to get creative with.

For this image I wanted to use the Gorse to paint the sensor. I focussed carefully and using a slow shutter started moving the camera to create a fluid and dynamic array of colour in this image.  Some careful editing has warmed the image up and given a fibrous, organic feel to the texture – as if the gorse has become flames flickering in the wind.
