This photo was taken at the start of a walk which would see me wetter than I’ve possibly ever been in my life.  Soaked through to my pants and my waterproof jacket failed.

Nevertheless, we completed the walk and had a fine day round Loch Muick.  I was drawn to this shot by the branch jutting out of the pile of rocks, perhaps placed here by a group of kids or blown here in a particularly nasty gale.  Either way it made a strong focal point for the image and really helped on what could have been a fairly miserable day.
