This classic image is one of my most popular.  We were on holiday on the west coast of Scotland, foolishly choosing to camp.  It rained solidly for two weeks, so this image really captures the atmosphere of that holiday – a dark, wet and grim couple of weeks surrounded by spectacular hills in a wonderfully atmospheric landscape.  It’s Scotland.

It also manages to capture a changing economy, infrastructure and culture in modern Scotland.  Were these boats abandoned because they weren’t viable anymore?
