Ok, I am a Professional Photographer. However, this doesn’t pay my mortgage, yet. At present I work for the Royal Bank of Scotland as a Customer Adviser but I would be happier undertaking a more creative role somewhere. Previous to RBS I was a portrait photographer with Venture, where I had to work to very tight deadlines and sales targets. I have a strong sales background with over 10 years retail experience but also pick up computer packages very quickly and as a photographer and designer, I have experience of Adobe packages, in particular Photoshop to a high level and Quark express and WordPress. I am also learning how to use Joomla and can use Microsoft Office to a high level.
Obvioulsy my main goal is to continue working on my photography but this doesn’t detract from my workrate and focus. In a year and a half at the bank I have gained promotion and I am working towards Mortgage accreditation, so that I can further my development and contribute more to my teams success.
The reason I’ve decided to actively seek a change in role is simply because I am a pro-active person, I’d rather seek out a position more suited to my interests and abilities than wait for one to drop into my lap.
