About

I am a Photographer living and working in the North-East of Scotland.   I like to take landscapes mainly but also have an interest in portrait, music and nature photography.   I have an HND in Professional Photography and previously worked for Venture Aberdeen.

My main passion is Landscape and Wildlife photography.  In this I try to find new viewpoints and create dramatic colourful memories of landscapes and capture unique portraits of the wildlife that live in these places.

I love taking photos of people too and strive to capture easy natural portraits of people which show their character and story as much as possible.

Music is a huge part of my life too and I’m building a portfolio of music photos showcasing some of the best bands around just now.

My interest in Wildlife was probably sparked from my childhood growing up in Catterline on the east coast of Scotland and being a member of the YOC(Young Ornithologists Club, the kids version of the RSPB).  I remember being particularly obsessed with Peregrine Falcons as a child.

As is the way, my interest waned a little during my teenage years through to  my early twenties, but it’s come back even stronger now and is shaping my ambitions as well as my free time.  My goal over the next 5 years is to concentrate more on things I’m passionate about and create a comprehensive portfolio which reflects this.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and to look at my site.  Please feel free to email me at david@davidofficerphotography.co.uk with your thoughts, questions and anything else you care to throw my way.
